The thought of Facebook ruining your Christmas is fairly interesting, and I found the tale of the Kongregate (flash based browser games) site publishing stories to your Facebook feed quite interesting.

Adding Tooltips to Gridview Headers

As the title says, this is a very simple but dynamic way of achieving tooltip text on a header column. It's not overly flash, but it's lightweight and quick to implement.
